Between April and May 2026, German courts issued verdicts against several Chinese international students. These Chinese students were convicted on multiple charges including attempted murder, rape, and production and dissemination of pornographic images, each receiving roughly 10 to 14 years in prison. These “highly educated” and “elite” expatriates, whose status and assets are no different from the bourgeois, used methods such as disguising as women on online platforms, stalking, harassing, and stealing others’ address information to drug and rape countless Chinese women. They even organized online group chats to sell stupefying drugs, spread rape footage, and systematically studied methods to drug and rape women, forming a complete illicit industry chain.
In fact, they were a multi-person criminal gang. This gang’s case has been pursued by imperialist police in Germany and China (primarily German police) since as early as 2024. The earliest arrested member among them was Zhang Dapeng, who served as the administrator of the reactionary chat group. At the time, he was the IT manager at Lotus Automotive. Investigations showed that since 2021, Zhang Dapeng, posing as a female landlady, used social platforms (primarily Xiaohongshu and WeChat) to lure Chinese female international students to his residence under the pretext of renting rooms or hosting stays, drugged them to render them unconscious, then raped them, recording the assaults. Moreover, Zhang Dapeng even assaulted a mother and her baby after luring a single mother, continuing the assault for a long time; he was a thoroughly fascist rapist. After one victim publicized the encounter online, the victims united to report the case. Subsequently, German police arrested Zhang Dapeng in November 2024 and sentenced him to 14 years’ imprisonment.
During the Zhang Dapeng case investigation, police found 25 private groups on the encrypted communication software Telegram, including one eight-person private group named “Germany Driving School.” In the groups, those who, like Zhang Dapeng, used various means to sexually assault women were part of the criminal gang. The gang had 8 core members, 7 Chinese and 1 Dutch. To date, seven core criminals arrested in Germany are Zhang Dapeng, Jiang Zhongyi, Zhou Zhenhao, Shao Zhitin, Weng Caizhe, Zhou Tong, Xu Xuke Yuan. The group also spawned multiple subgroups totaling over 4,500 members, with up to 2,000 repeatedly involved in crimes, sharing assault videos and discussing criminal methods.
Among them, Jiang Zhongyi also harmed a target with whom he had built a romantic relationship through deception. Jiang Zhongyi studied abroad in Germany in 2023, and from February 2024 formed a relationship and cohabited with Xiao Wen (pseudonym) who lived in the same building. “During cohabitation, Jiang Zhongyi repeatedly mixed highly sedative agents (propofol, midazolam, etc.) in amounts 5 to 10 times above the norm into Xiao Wen’s milk tea or cocktails, or pressed her nose and mouth with soaked cloth, causing deep coma and then committing rape, recording the entire assault. During the crime, Xiao Wen experienced two respiratory arrests due to drug overdose (lasting up to 330 seconds), and Jiang did not provide help but continued to administer drugs to continue the assault.” Due to prolonged abuse, Xiao Wen frequently felt dizzy, nauseated, had memory gaps, and even entertained suicidal thoughts. Eventually German police raided the apartment, securing a large amount of evidence against Jiang Zhongyi and subsequently arrested him. Jiang Zhongyi was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months for two counts of attempted murder, seven counts of aggravated rape, and invasion of privacy, among other charges.
Shao Zhitin is another core member of the group. He studied at Hebei Medical University and Peking University Medical School, later studying at a medical school in Berlin. He used his medical background to serve as a criminal-technical advisor within the group and used his connections to trade and provide illicit controlled substances. He not only guided other criminals on how to prepare aphrodisiacs but also once provided on-the-spot drug administration advice during Zhang Dapeng’s rape livestream to keep victims unconscious. Shao Zhitin is also a long-time international offender. The German prosecution accuses him of several rape crimes committed in China between 2019 and 2021, though those were not exposed.
Additionally, via a report by Sanlian Life Weekly (Sina Visitor System), we can learn about another core member’s methods and behavior—Zhou Tong. Zhou Tong was born in 1999 in Sichuan, went to a German boarding school in 2015, and moved to Berlin in September 2022. By his life history, Zhou Tong is either wealthy or privileged, still a mere 16-year-old when he left for study abroad in Germany. Court verdicts show Zhou Tong despised German, considered it a “barrier,” and due to language barriers faced frequent social exclusion; he hardly interacted with Germans, and his private life largely involved computers; this suggests Zhou Tong was a complete parasite, who studied abroad in Germany for ten years without learning German, and who avoided German interactions while engaging in prolonged, intense sexual activity. The report also notes Zhou Tong’s skill at disguising himself online and offline with a “two-faced” persona: online he pretended to be enthusiastic and a “warm man” who harassed women; offline he was socially awkward, numb, and lecherous. The verdict notes Zhou Tong enjoyed travel and specifically sought out female travel companions as potential victims.
According to the verdict, since 2019 Zhou Tong sexually assaulted more than five women through methods including rape, secretly filming, and drugging. He had over 2,000 private chats with Zhang Dapeng and claimed to have raped 18 women, which is extremely crazy. Zhou Tong’s modus operandi was also typical: according to women who reported harassment, Zhou Tong often boasted and used selective “courting” to win women’s trust, thereby dulling them or obtaining their identities and addresses to commit crimes. Woman Ms. Chen had items stored; Zhou Tong offered to help with airport pickup, and after being refused, even tracked flight information to “stake out” and forcibly pick up with a bouquet; he also used the excuse of “helping carry luggage” to attempt to obtain Chen’s home address. In short, Zhou Tong used disguise, deception, and harassment to win women’s trust and commit crimes. The report mentions Zhou Tong even used “urgent situation” as a pretext to obtain a neighboring woman’s house keys and install spy cameras to conduct voyeurism.
In reading the report materials, it is evident that Zhou Tong’s criminal methods are closely related to some real-world male-dominant ideologies that deceive women to establish “relationships.” In the view of fascist male-dominant groups, women are commodities for their use and pleasure; the difference is that the latter view love as a legitimate means to violate women. Therefore fascist male-dominant individuals in “love” also cast a wide net, not caring about women’s thoughts or personalities, but presenting a “friendly” appearance to deceive and establish ties; they frequently cheat to victimize more women; even take pride in how many women they have dated or slept with. Zhou Tong’s gang’s rapists are ideologically linked to these male-dominant groups and are a more extreme product of that ideology.
Furthermore, a material mentioned in the Frankfurt am Main district court’s first-instance verdict also seriously helps refute the “virtually harmless” or “spectators are harmless” argument. On major platforms, fascist male-dominant groups—especially those led by anti-feminist supports in places like the Baidian group—have long publicly and shamelessly defended pornographic ideas, proclaiming lines like “virtual things have no harm; I think it does not mean I commit a crime” or “I only watch, which also equates to crime.” In Zhang Dapeng’s first-instance verdict, it notes that in 2020 Zhang Dapeng encountered rape videos of women online, subsequently joined groups related to rape drugs and sexual assault via links on porn platforms, and began to discuss rape drugs and assaults in the groups; he first purchased aphrodisiacs in autumn 2020 and began to act on them in January 2021. It is clear that “just watching” would immediately turn into crime when conditions mature.
Moreover, in the criminal groups, they also used a very brutal and dirty coded language to communicate. “They call themselves ‘drivers’; the female victims are referred to as ‘cars’; acquaintances or partners are called ‘private cars’; the drugged substances are called ‘gasoline’; more attractive ones are called ‘luxury cars’; when victims lose consciousness due to drugs, they are referred to as ‘dead pigs.’” These coded terms do not come out of nowhere; they are closely linked to pornographic culture that is publicly available and widely circulated in the market. The reason they call themselves “drivers” is because in public porn culture, men with sexual experience are often called “old drivers”; porn videos are called “license plates”; and women are often insulted as “items to be used.” So such insults exist because male-dominant groups always treat women as commodities for use and play.
From the entire case, it is also clear that Chinese imperialism is extremely tolerant of this fascist male-dominant criminal group. Of the eight core members, seven are Chinese men, and they use Telegram, a so-called encrypted communication software. It should be noted that Telegram, as the software of Russia—an ally of China’s imperialism—has long been infiltrated. The software even requires a phone number to register. According to some reports, once registered with a phone number, all contacts in the phone’s address book are uploaded to Chinese police. Chinese police even plant spies on Telegram to infiltrate online “leftist” groups to disrupt activities; prolonged eavesdropping and monitoring chats are common. However, under joint law enforcement by Chinese and German authorities, seven Chinese criminals were almost all captured by German police. If this does not prove anything, one core member Shao Zhitin had committed several sexual assaults in China while residing there, which went unexposed, proving that Chinese police do not take sexual crime seriously. Because Chinese imperialism is in fact a protective umbrella for fascist male-dominant criminals; it relies on this far-right group to maintain and strengthen its regime (some of the rulers are among them), so it is impossible to touch this group’s interests. In China, only a few mid- to small-sized self-media and old bourgeois feminist media—Sanlian Life Weekly—reported on this long-running major crime case. Where did the official media go? Not long ago, official media could report even a stray dog, but now female victims are not reported!
The people’s eyes are sharp and bright. Many in the public have noted that most members of the reactionary groups are based domestically, and their control over drugs is even domestically conducted and exported. Such shocking acts of rape would surely occur domestically as well. Yet there is little media coverage, and even less so from so-called police investigations and demolitions. With such powerful authoritarian control in the government, could they not do something about this? No, it is not that they cannot do it; they simply do not want to handle it, not that they cannot. The government has the ability to mobilize a large police force to suppress large-scale protests; the ability to hire gangsters to block, detain, and control petitioners; but apparently the only thing they lack is the ability to investigate and dismantle this gang of rapists. Clearly, the Chinese government is deliberately concealing and protecting this fascist male-dominant group in every possible way.
